Asir architecture - Saudi

The houses in this area are sometimes painted in bright colors, as they are inside.
The houses are made of mud, and to protect it from the rains, people put all along the walls some stones to let the water run out.
The men and women have separate places to live inside.
Animals are also kept inside.
The huge walls are the best way to keep the cool temperature in summer time.
At the top, there is a terrace.

Leica i9 concept pairs $1,000 camera with $200 iPhone

When you think of manufacturers that create products to go hand-in-hand with the Apple iPhone, leica probably wouldn't come to mind. The seemingly brilliant minds at Black Design Associates hope to change that, however. The leica i9 concept pairs aniphone 4 with a fixed-lens rangefinder camera, and the result is nothing short of extraordinary. Slipping your iPhone 4 -- black or  white -- into the back of the i9 brings the camera to life, activating the compact optical zoom, dedicated aperture and shutter dials, flash and light meter. Images are instantly viewable on the iPhone, where it's safe to assume they're stored as well. The camera back doubles as a case, but you're probably going to want to use it with a headset, unless you like talking to a camera. There's no sign that the i9 will even reach the prototype phase, but nobody is going to stop the high-end camera's designer from dreaming -- especially when said dreams make us weak at the knees.

A Million Little Pieces

A Million Little Pieces by James Frey is a brutally

explicit, honest novel about what Frey went through in a durg/alcohol rehab center. It not only focused on his experiences in the rehab center, but it also gave some insight into the horrible things that happened to him and that he did while using - the incomprehensible life of an addict.

The book made me laugh, made me ill, it shocked and saddened me, and I cried at the end. It made me appreciate NOT having to go through what James Frey went through.
The book sadly tells the statistics - only 15% of those that leave the treatment center, actually "recover" and stay clean

Centre Pompidou (National Modern Art Museum), PARIS

Centre Pompidou is one of my favorite places in Paris.

Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers were the two architects behind this amazing monuments.
Their approach was an 'inside-out' boilerhouse approach, where air conditioning, pipes, lifts and even escalators were on the outside.

The area around the center has a very hip vibe. People come from all around the city to sit at the surrounding cafes watching street performers and enjoying the fountains there.

On the 5th and top floor there is a restaurant and a cafe called George, which has one of the best views of the city. If you don't love Paris already, one visit to George and you'll fall madly in love.

Palm Island

we all know Palm Jumeirah as an international icon, but actually it was created help solve Dubai’s beach shortage. The Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum drew a sketch of a palm tree and realized its fronds could provide more beach frontage than a traditional circular island. So the idea of Palm Jumeirah was born.

Atlantis, The Palm is a 1,539 room, ocean-themed destination resort located at the centre of the crescent of the man-made Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Opened in September 2008, the hotel resort has 17 hectares of water park amusement, shopping mall, five stars restaurants and much more.
